I think I am stretching the 'leading lines' topic here but had this in my mind for a little while. In my youth I had to write many 'line' during my school days (Scottish for punishment exercise).

I think this works well Iain, anything that leads your eye towards your subject is a leading line as far as I am concerned. You nailed it.
