There are no cars on Mackinac Island. The path around the edge, just steps from Lake Huron, is 8 miles. Most people bike it and some ride in horse drawn carriages. My daughter elected to run around this year. I waited in Marquette Park between Fort Mackinac and Mackinac Harbor where, 70 years ...
