“ 2024: A Space Odyssey ”

Long week with a trip at the end, I was so tempted to skip this week's challenge - sad because the topic intrigued me. Lots of ideas but no time to do any of them. I was happy I pushed through - this one makes me feel like I am floating in space :+)

Ooo I love a bit of astrophotography, and the use of the high f-stop has given you a great black, which is hard to get. With zoomy f1.8 lens like that one, a 13"… more

Ooo I love a bit of astrophotography, and the use of the high f-stop has given you a great black, which is hard to get. With zoomy f1.8 lens like that one, a 13" shot is going to get you some star streaking (anything over about 7 seconds at f13 would, according to my photopills astrophotography app - but if you'd done it at f1.8 you're down to 3 seconds, so you're not going to win easily!).

Loving the use of the light to create a bit of character to the shot, too. Such a great crisp looking sky! Whereabouts were you? Out of a city, I take it?
