    Love the dark tones and shallow depth of field. You've really rendered a simple object with a great sense of mystery.

    I might have dialed the depth of field back a little bit so that the thimble box could be a little more in focus as it's almost as interesting at the thimble itself.

    Such a beautiful and personal object. It really comes through in your photo.

    What a wonderful memory. I really like the light in your picture! Maybe adding a bit more DOF would show the case better, but the thimble really tells the story.
