“ Spring is in the air ”

My first sign that Spring is in the air is the sound of woodpeckers in the forest.

I'm not really sure why nobody has commented on this. This is a nice image. Great detail on the tree trunk and I like the way the background branches frame the bird. Nice use of depth of field. The square crop was a good choice for this image. I might try bringing the overall exposure up just a hair and knocking the highlights down in order to really bring out the bird, but this is a successful composition.
