Yesterday we had a very foggy start to the day and on my way back from the beach I spotted this lone cabbage tree looming out of the fog. I rethought my entry into shallow depth of field and felt that this image fitted the brief. I used the fog as my creative tool in this instance. Zoomed in ...

    Nice moody shot! With the blank background you were able to get away with f/11, since there was nothing really there behind the tree to throw out of focus - the fog was your friend, causing the trees to be out of focus. Very atmospheric.
