“ Pastel Pencil artwork of Brisbane City ”

This year I have started using pastel pencil and had a go at this night scene of the city on dark blue paper. It took a few shots to get the focus so that you can see the background enough, but not too in-focus to detract from the hand holding the pastel.

The tip of the pencil is practically glowing compared to the dark background, and it works perfectly! I think you got the right depth of field and lighting.
