These are the doors for Minatogawa Shrine in Kobe, being opened by a priest. I had to wake up quite early as the doors open at 5:30AM. All main gates for shrines and temples in Japan typically face South so the timing for lighting and direction of sun didn't give much but I've always liked this ...
