    I love the subject matter, here. Something really cool about the contrast of a beach - which we automatically associate with summer days spent with lots of family and friends around - with   look of a northern coastal winter. Definitely made the right choice of subjects, IMHO!

    I far prefer this shot over the postcard scene, Thadd!  You have so many fabulous elements here, from the textured ice in the foreground to the curve of the water on the right and the gnarled silhouette on the left!  Maine has beautiful beaches but you’ve made even this winter scene appealing!
