    What a cool idea - and  actually love the glow around the edges of the "moon"! I'm not too sure if there is a specific tool you could use to make the outline sharp... perhaps you could try going into Camera Raw under Filter, and in the Basic editing look for Dehaze and push the slider to the right a bit?
