“ Snow Sculpture ”
First prize winner qt the Breckenridge Colorado snow sculpture. I loved the angular lines and dark and light. Noon is not the best time to shoot a photo but that was the time I was there.

    Every minute a guy gets a different set of shadows. I feel high noon is as valid as any time. Certainly the shape of this sculpture makes for an interesting composition, and the contrasting fields of dark and light work great for b&w.

    The angular lines and crisp contrast in your shot caught my eye. I particularly like how the outside shape makes shadows on the piece below, adding to the dark and light. Clever perspective chosen, down lower enlarges the form. I was amazed to read this was snow! Very clever.
