“ Not Following the Rules ”

I have been taking quite a few different ones and then this red chimney caught my eye. Most of the houses are black and white or versions of it so this red stood out. I couldn't resist it.

I think you are totally in compliance! The only thing in your image that immediately attracts the viewer’s eye is, of course, the red chimney, and you placed it on… more

I think you are totally in compliance! The only thing in your image that immediately attracts the viewer’s eye is, of course, the red chimney, and you placed it on the “thirds” grid line. I would like your image better if you had cropped from the bottom, eliminating the lower grass strip and the asphalt above it. It would make it look more like a pano of the neighborhood, with the red chimney standing out even more.
