My question for you: when photographing glass like this, how do you improve the definition of the outer edges? In places, I can't tell where the glass ends and the background begins.

    Great frame and the BTS explanation is great.  Now, while I have a lot of bulbs around the house, this would not be one of them.

    I just commented on your comment on my wine glass shot.  Your shot here is excellent.  I love that you composited to get a lit bulb with nothing on the screw cap.  I think your shot demonstrates what I said in mine, that if you don't use a small slit, you get a large reflection of your light source.  As far as the glass merging with the background, it's just a matter of using a darker background.  Next week I'm using a black background to show this.  Maybe give that a try with your setup.  And you won't have to come up with a new subject to shoot 😜 .
