My low budget setup!  Minnesota hasn't had much snow this year until recently, so with a light flurry in the air (and below zero temps) I was excited and hoping to capture a snowflake photo this winter. I set up a variety of fabrics and quickly learned which ones were too slippery (and the snowflake blew away in the wind before i could photograph it) or too textured (and the snowflake didn't stand out). I finally caught this little beauty and was able to bend the fabric back to be able to stand the snowflake up to photograph it.  The black mitten served as my dark background and the cloudy sky served as my natural light!
