My father had a pair that were very similar from his WW2 army days. There must have been many thousands of them! I do like the texture and colour. The white on the… more

My father had a pair that were very similar from his WW2 army days. There must have been many thousands of them! I do like the texture and colour. The white on the outsides do tend to draw the eye away from the centre and focus of the photo, which is a bit of a shame but otherwise a nice and interesting shot.
