    Nice, natural looking portrait. I really like the thin slice of light around his neck and face. I find the paintings on the wall a little distracting, but it would perhaps require some advanced photoshopping to remove them. Good choice of DOF to blur out the background.

    His gaze gives an impression of looking toward the future which is appealing. The focus appears to be sharper on his neck rather than his face. The lighting is great. I find focus with my 50mm and editing is my newest challenge.
