“ Old with lots of paint ”
The house I live in was built in 1910, and it's pretty obvious that whenever someone moves out, they coat the entire inside with a fresh coat of paint (to hide the blemishes, I guess). Jokingly, I've said that I probably lost about 10 square feet of space because the walls have grown inward ...

    Old doors (and buildings in general) have such charm and character to them so you're fortunate to live amongst it.
