“ Chocolate spoon! ”
This challenge was perfect for my middle daughter. She and her best friend have a tradition that, wherever they are visiting in the world, they always buy a spoon for each other. This is one of the many that my daughter has in her collection and she was more than happy to pose for me with it...

I think I agree with your daughter.  I really like the placement of the spoon over the face where you cover nose and mouth but let the eyes anchor the image.  I like how you have those red/browns scattered around the image (hair, spoon, and stone on the ring) and how you have repeated blues in the eyes and shirt.  Really a successful image.  I'd probably play with saturation and contrast, but I really don't know that I'd improve anything.

It is a great combination of colours: caramel on spoon, amber hair and the dark turquoise top..

Nice separation, really brings focus to the spoon. I think that's a great tradition to document.
