    Love this shot Chris. One of my favs! I love rope and often hang around a local mooring photographing rope! Love the colour and tones. Great edit.

    Really nice photo. The colours and depth of field work really well, and the details in the rope, especially the spliced loop and texture. The contrast of the "organic" textured rope against the smooth plastic adds to it as well. With a shot like this, I try lots of angles and compositions to get as strong a shot as possible, so showing the curve of the lifesaver, or two of the loops with the sag in between, or a different triangle may have been stronger. But great shot, and keep going.
