In case you want more technology related to eclipses, it appears that Stonehenge may have been able to predict Solar Eclipses (it could almost certainly predict Lunar Eclipses). Ancient Mesopotamians and Chinese astronomers appear to have been able to predict Solar Eclipses as well.

No grumbling from me - so much technology associated with eclipses, and technology was used to take the shot.

Amazing timing to get the totality, and such an amazing capture with the flares.

My husband and I saw the 1999 total eclipse in Austria but only had a very basic digital point & shoot; was still really pleased with the shots but, they were nothing compared to this...very jealous!

What filter did you use?
