“ Rusty Steering ”

I spotted a very old tractor at a vineyard I visited and was drawn to the colors and the dramatic rust all around. Wish I knew when the last time this was actually used as transportation.

To me what really makes this photo work is the mixing of textures and colors, between the rusty machine and the fresh grass. I'm a bit divided about the out of focus… more

To me what really makes this photo work is the mixing of textures and colors, between the rusty machine and the fresh grass. I'm a bit divided about the out of focus rim, I wish there had been a way of having all that in focus. Also, why is the grass inside the wheel focused but outside of it unfocused? It throws me off a little. Did you use masks to blur this?
