“ Vacation lunch ”

I'm on vacation in Mexico and decided to capture a moment in what was a perfect day by the beach. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful (and delicious) table top.

The dappled shadows work well here; just subtle enough to lend some interest and give you a real feel for the setting. It might be an improvement to straighten the shot so those table slats in the center were straight. I like that there are three plates. The one in the upper left bothers me a bit, though, because it comes so close to the edge of the frame. I wish it were either all the way in the frame, or that a greater portion of it were cut out, the way your hat is. The inclusion of your hat is a great touch--it puts you in the picture and helps tell the story of a day spent out and about in the sun, but now it's time for a relaxing meal.
