    I'm no great expert capturing steam. My thoughts, super heat in microwave. Chill the room. Backlighting needed to silhouette the steam. Hence look from the side rather than look from above. So all round a tough ambitious shot needing very sharp focus. Tricky to start with but heck why aim for something less.
