“ Icy Lake ”

Went to a lake to get some winter shots. Loved the bluish-gray color of the ice on this lake. I also like how the diagonal of the near shore converges with the far shore in the background.

I really like the blue/gray with the browns. They make a calming color palette. Your framing is great in the way you used the far bank for horizon leveling.

I also like the very cool colours of this shot, and the light on the lake. I find that the shores converge very high in the frame, and I wonder how it would look with… more

I also like the very cool colours of this shot, and the light on the lake. I find that the shores converge very high in the frame, and I wonder how it would look with just a little more headroom above the trees? I like the diagonal of the shoreline in the foreground, and the way it is slightly softened by the twiggy plants sticking up. The high-ish key works well to add to the "cold" feeling.
