“ Snake in the Grass. ”
I spotted this carpet python trying to get a bit of sun on cool day. Unfortunately, it had many ticks including 2 larges ones on its head, which I cloned out for aesthetic reasons. (See photo in comments). I used a 100-400mm lens but was very close so didn't need the 400mm.

    I think they can cope with the ticks, I have seen it again in the same area minus the ticks.

    What a beautiful python. He really stands out amongst the green ferns and grass. I have never seen one with ticks before - I hope they don't have a long term affect on… more
