“ Line to the Ladies Restroom ”
Street photography is not my favorite. However, I was on a trip this past Thursday and as usual the line to the ladies restroom (aka water closet in other parts of the world) was very long but there was no line for the men's restroom. I have observed this many times in the USA. There have been ...

This is so frustrating. While the wife is waiting to use the ladies bathroom I’m not far away waiting for her.
    Great story in your picture.

it happens the world over. here is an excerpt from a study: "Her decision was motivated by the long queue for the women' what this usually means is that men receive many more facilities: although men's restrooms may have fewer stalls than women's, they manage to fit in more urinals (less wall-space and surface) and thus have more access opportunities. Moreover, research suggests that women take longer to use the restroom ( Baillie et al., 2009) and they do so more often. All of these differences compound into creating waiting time inequality in public venues".     great storytelling shot , especially for females, men might have a harder time understanding this one..

Right??!!!  It seems like this happens a lot.  And I have used a men's restroom for this very reason.  It seems like poor planning  on the part of the architect. The photo is terrific in that you show the men's room sign, so we know why they are waiting in line.  I think it needed a little tilt to the left.  But then, my lined up teens doesn't look so straight on that hill with the variety of lines either.  ;)  This is so clever!!  And really nice in B/W.
