“ Mangroves on the Red Sea ”

Mangroves guard the coast from erosion and serve as a habitat for coastal wildlife. The little spikes or stalks coming up out of the water are their roots, acting like snorkels to allow them to "breathe" in a salty environment.

Photo was taken just before sunset, so I underexposed ...
