“ Withered ”
The cold has finally killed off the last of our wildflowers. I love the various textures created in this phase of its life cycle. The leaves are now shriveled and dry, and the base of the flower is now prickly like a cactus. I love using my macro lens to explore texture and other tiny details.

Nice use of your macro lens. Love the crop and the composition of where you placed the flower in frame.

Lovely shot of faded glory, Lori. I like the shallow dof.

Nice balance of focus and softness. It’s wonderful to see the beauty of nature even as things fade.
