“ Galls ”

Saw these interesting bumps on the leaves of an oak tree. I believe they are called galls and form because of an egg deposited by a minute parasitic wasp.
Kind of unsightly tho intriguing at the same time. Between the galls and the leaf veins there was quite a bit of texture to be seen.
