“ Old friend ”

We love trees. We have planted about 500 in the last few years on our lifestyle block, encouraging the birds and insects into a new habitat. Conversely, we also rely on wood to burn in the winter to keep our house warm. Recently a row of beautiful old pines was taken down in front of our place...

I like the focus on nature and the wood grain. I think the photo might benefit from higher contrast and perhaps shifting to black and white. Give more focus to the pattern than the color. I think a stark contrast between the light beige and the darker browns would elevate the image.
