We are visiting in northern Idaho. Kokanee salmon spawn in Coeur dAlene Lake, arriving in late November through mid-December. The males turn red, grow a hump, and get an angled jaw as they morph into spawn mode. Bald eagles come to the area to take advantage of the plentiful food source. In ...
