I actually disagree that this photo does not interact or incorporate context. The context here is that negative space AROUND the mural is photographed in a compelling way. In addition, the choice of the angle to photograph the mural - a choice that presumably John made, makes this photo about more than JUST the mural. I don't think this is a simple case of only taking a photo of the mural and calling it one's own art...Now if the mural is copyrighited and John went to sell this image maybe that would be a problem. As it is, I find the negative space here and the leading lines of the edges of the mural enough to make this fofto a separate piece of art. I very much like the perspective/point of view you chose, John.
