I then tried to hurry to some spot that I could actually get out of the car to compose a better shot, but by the time I was able to get to someplace safe the light was ...

Beautiful capture, but risky to shoot. I've jumped out of my car for a shot also.... It's what we do ! I would have post edited the cars and lamp post out, though… more
