“ Door and Wall ”

Short of ideas this week, started with a shot of two birds on a pylon against the sky - then decided to do something different, so I took a photo of this blank cream wall with the old wooden door. I liked the colour contrast and shadows from the sun. I think that this is ‘negative space’.

Agree. The colour contrast makes this interesting together with the contrast between the smooth wall and the knackered old paint ! But it also has sponteneity ( now I'm getting what Private Eye would call ' pseudish') But what I mean is, the shadows place it in time and you resisted the temptation to straighten the lines to the frame: its got life!
