“ Little Winged Beauty ”

I didn’t have to venture far for this week’s challenge as there are so many birds in my backyard; many fuelling up for the long trip south. This little nuthatch was happy to pose for me.

You did get manage to get the nuthatch to pose very nicely for you!

Unfortunately, the bird's beautiful colors blend w/ the background somewhat closely. Darkening the background would help.

I've struggled w/ the same problem w/ sparrows sitting on a birdhouse perch but with them blending too much into the background. Punching up the exposure and vibrance of the bird and doing the opposite to the background helps as does cropping tight.
