“ An Attempt At Levitation ”
I spent hours on Photoshop trying to get this right. As you can see, I wasn't entirely successful. Couldn't figure out how to remove the original Cherie after I had moved her, and I ran out of time. But I must say I learned a lot. So I don’t mind embracing imperfection. CC away and any ...

This is a fun photo of Cherie! What would have worked would have been to shoot a background without her or the green box and then a second shot of her standing on a box or chair against that exact same background.  Then you would layer those two photos, add a layer mask to the one with her on the box or chair and brush it out.  With the one you have you could have dragged her onto an entirely new background and you would end up with one instead of two of her.  If you'd like to send me your photo I'll play around with that idea. A wonderful class is Phlearn 30 Days of Photoshop, free on Youtube. It's fun, but not easy. Has taken me two years to feel somewhat comfortable with layers and masking.

I like that you have both Cheries in the image.  This photo made me smile!  Nicely done!

Interesting shot. I think you did a great job cutting out the subject and making her look like she's levitating but the next step would be to remove the original subject so it doesn't give away the manipulation. To do that you could have used the clone tool or the remove tool in photoshop, first adding sky, then bushes then the missing part of the tree and the box she's standing on. Looks like you had fun playing around with it which is wonderful.

Looks like fun with your friend Jaqueline. Not sure since I am not good in photoshop but I think you have to take 2 photos one with your friend and the other with just the background. Take Cherie out and put her in the photo with only the background.  I think that is how it is done, You did a great job, or take the box out of the scene. I am sure there are others that know a lot more than I do. 🤗 🤗
