The building in this shot dates from the early 1900s and served as our town's ambulance headquarters for nearly a century. In 2010, it was damaged by an earthquake and condemned. It is slated to be torn down this spring and will be replaced by picnic area and public river access.

    I think the light produced by the gray sky works well in this shot - it emphasizes the 'wabi-sabi' feel. I love the scene you chose, with the running water leading your eye to the old brick building. I wonder if you could have gotten an angle without the tree on the left, what that would have looked like.
