I setup the monoply board with a black back ground. Camera setup at low level and flash mounted directly above the board in a dark room. I used Bulb mode on the camera, opened the shutter and dropped the dice from above. The flash was triggered by the sound of the dice hitting the board after ...

Very interesting. Did you hear the dice hit the board then trigger the flash, or some other method of sound triggering the flash? Marvelous shot! Lots of imagination and thought must of gone into this composition and execution of the shot.
