“ Simple beauty ”
Have you even been thinking of how beautiful green cabage is? I love the taste, but now during corona and all the restriction I try to work some on how to live with mindfullness. And suddenly I see the beauty in the most simple things. As in a leaf of green cabage! A healthy beauty directly from ...

Mindfulness is super important, especially in the challenging year we've all had :-) Something as simple as appreciating how a food tastes, or the smell of dinner cooking, really helps me live in the moment! I like the concept of filling the frame with your subject - macro shots are the best! I think the focus is *just* off sharp however, so my suggestion would be to work on getting those edges crisp! Maybe even manually (rather than auto focus) seeing as you were using a tripod! But yum - it makes me want to go have some vegetables!!

Yes I liked this shot already when you showed it, Magdalena! I like the simplicity and the structure of the kale leaf. As I suggested earlier, you might want to fixate your camera so that you'll be able to decrease the iso by using a lower shutter speed. I think the high iso creates noise and that feels like it's not entirely sharp. I'd also make the green color a bit more lively in post! Those are my suggestions :)

Great idea and love how it fills the frame. I agree about the depth of field and focus - I would either like to see the top curly bits in focus or crop in closer on the leaf and the bottom curls. The veins stand out really clearly and give great leading lines through the shot.
