“ Food to photography ”

One of my passions is photograohy, another is food. And they are so fantastic to combine. This time I chose to play with form and color; the aubergines are long with tips, the lemon round and thanks to the edit a warm color, almost like an orange. Edited by Carol Broverman, thank you!

This is such a stunning photo! It looks like an oil painting, and I can't stop admiring it. Here in the USA the aubergines ("eggplants") are much shorter and fatter, so I just love how long and thin these are. The length leads my eye along them, and the slight curve to them adds much interest. The placement of the lemon is perfect. The warmer edit to this photo is really unique and I think works really well here. I really like the dark background and how beautifully the food is lit. I'd love to see a photo of your setup if you have one!
