“ My favourite wooden bowl ”

This is my favourite wooden bowl and I like it because of its imperfections in the wood. There are knot holes, different colours, dark spots. Overall it has this rich warm red colour. The timber is yew.
I polished the bowl with olive oil before taking the picture.

Wow you can really see all the different imperfections in the grain as a result of your oiling it. A very beautiful colour. I wonder if the lighting is just making it… more

Wow you can really see all the different imperfections in the grain as a result of your oiling it. A very beautiful colour. I wonder if the lighting is just making it look rather flat and perhaps some shadow would give an even better sense of the contours. Beautiful object to own though.
