“ Church of the Great Outdoors ”

This picture was taken in Malta which is an amazingly historical island full of culture, religion and history. They say there are 365 churches in Malta; one for every day of the year. I love watching the sunset behind this Catholic church in Mellieha.

Ah Malta, the home of my fathers family. I remember Mellieha well, but mostly for the swimming. You have caught a beautiful sky, with great colouring and movement, in this shot which emphasises the soft coloured stone of the church. My only thought is that it feels as if it is leaning to the right, very slightly, and a little more hill at the bottom may have made the church more imposing... Happy Framing
