“ Mourning Dove ”

Everyday a pair of mourning doves perch themselves on my fence, cooing away and keeping me company. I've gotten quite used to their routine which is why it struck me as odd to only see one of them for the past week or so. I wish I could ask the remaining one what happened.

I like how the bird is almost silhouetted, but there's still a good bit of detail there. I may have put it just a little higher in the frame, but it's still a cool shot… more
