    I'm torn on the b&w or color. The background is excellent in color--I love that tone of blue next to the brown blinds. But she stands out more in the b&w and really draws my eye. I think you're right about the contrast, too. OK, I've talked myself into it: b&w wins! Nicely done.

    A rainy day at least provides you with the most beautiful soft light.  With the cosy blanket she's safe from the inclement weather. I think the black and white is less distracting and allows us, the viewer, to focus on her quiet, reflective mood.
