    The background does look like water. I'm glad I looked longer to catch the difference! I agree with George about either showing the whole city (to show a sense of place) or cropping it out (for a more abstract study of light and shape). Welcome back to the cold side😜

    I don't know, Mike, I think you cropped this pretty well.   I can't decide if the buildings up top were cut out completely, if that would be better, or if you opened up the top a little to not have them cut in half like they are now.  Maybe if you had gotten a touch lower with the camera to change the angle to bring them down into the photo more?   All this is me thinking out loud.   I really like the background contrasted with the cliff in front.   Nice shot.
