I’m wondering why I didn’t get a curved view?   A setting in LR?   I’ve seen a few panos with curved looks, but not all.   Now I’m wondering what causes this effect?  Is it simply the lens correction setting?  I would have thought the focal length, but my shot was at close to 15mm so that isn’t it.   I bet you didn’t think your shot and write-up would inspire these types of questions!

I was surprised to see your name by a shot that clearly was NOT Washington! Looks like a lovely day to be in the countryside - I like the position of the tree on the left, but a bit of a shame to have 'chopped' it! Doubtless, there was a pressing reason for this, I know you think deeply before pressing the shutter!

What a wonderful view! What software did you use for your panorama? I was not looking forward to this challenge at all because I was nervous about the technicalities, but I used Lightroom Photomerge Panorama (and went HDR panorama just to be fancy 😃) and it was so straightforward and, though I can't remember exactly, pretty sure it had an option to help correct this kind of distortion. Having said all that, I'm not averse to the curve at all. But it's always nice to have options!
