“ Cold as Ice ”
This is a section of Toronto's waterfront called Sugar Beach. The ducks did not seem at all bothered by the absolutely frigid temperature.
It messed with my head a bit, but I "broke the rule" to create some angles and triangular shapes which I think make the composition more interesting.

Jennifer, the ducks have nice natural winter jackets to keep them warm :) I like the tilted angle; makes the image more interesting indeed.

Makes me shiver just looking at it! Lovely spot to capture the horizon, but I do feel that with a horizon as blatant as this it needs to be dead straight, or corner to corner diagonal. The triangular shapes you've created are nicely done, but I think you could still have achieved this with a straight, or diagonal horizon. All too cold for me!!

Vey nicely done. The color helps reiterate that freezing feeling. Breaking the rule reflects the breaking ice which is cool. To add to that, the off-kilter framing provides me with an optical illusion that I, the viewer, am perhaps slipping on the ice and in danger of falling and becoming broken too.
