“ Beauty in a darker form ”

Love this theme, a new learning, again. Low key pictures bring out a moody beauty that somehow makes me emotional. I used pink/lilac roses for this picture. As background I had a black bedsheet. the room was rather dark and I light the roses stright on with a small flashlight. It took a while ...

I think you've done a really great job here Nancy. I think that the small torchlight has worked really well here (I often use my bicycle lights for this purpose). The main focal point is obvious by the light, but I find it a tiny bit too bright, so I do wonder if the light was a little more evenly distributed across the roses, it may lead to a more relaxed image. You might try this with painting with the light across the roses. Irrespective, you've created a great image here :-)
